June 8, 2016
Simi Valley, CA (K-LOVE News) by Billie Branham
Every year Revivus throws its own free summer concert in the Los Angeles-area with big names in Christian music who take the stage to share how they came to faith in Jesus. The couple talks to the kids, prays with them and Chad says they also distribute information about making sober choices. “My pastor Joe Schimmel at Blessed Hope Chapel and myself have created different (spiritual) tracts regarding different drugs, such as heroin or ecstasy.” (Listen here to what will air Sunday, June 12 on Air1 and KLOVE.)
He’s an ex-addict. She’s a life-long Christian. Revivus Ministry co-founders are husband-wife team Chad and Holly Davidson. The two look for places to connect with young adults mired in addiction on the street or at concerts, really any “…events where we know there’s gonna be high-levels of drug use.” They’re so hands-on that they give out their personal cell numbers so anyone can ask for help at any hour of any day.
K-LOVE’s Billie Branham caught up with Chad about the Revivus mission and methods. Listen here.
